Mrs Geall’s home urgently required new windows as they began to leak badly. Our slimframe aluminium windows were the perfect solution.
This charming home was built almost a century ago and was in need of some TLC. Mrs Geall’s ageing leaded windows were proving to cause issues, causing draughts and even leaking. She had wanted to replace them for many years but wasn’t sure if the fact they were mullioned would cause issues. We quickly put her mind at ease as we had faced similar projects before. We focused on finding low-maintence windows that would work as a replacement.
It was important to Mrs Geall that the new windows still welcomed plenty of natural light inside her home. Our Eclipse windows are made from flexible aluminium, so they are moulded to have super slim frames without losing any of their strength. Their slender frames meant that more light would enter her home. Therefore, they were chosen as the right replacement for Mrs Geall’s current outdated windows.
When we spoke with Mrs Geall in depth, we found out she had another wish – that she would finally have the perfect space to paint watercolours, her beloved hobby. She always had dreams of converting her extension into a painting studio.
We told her this would not be an issue and all that we needed to do was to replace the current roof with a solid tiled roof to improve the thermal efficiency.
Mrs Geall’s house is certainly quieter and no longer has draughty leaks since her new windows were installed. She no longer worries about opening and closing the windows as she used to have concerns that they may fall right out of the house. Her new windows have saved her money on energy costs as well. Our experts went back to her house the following year to inspect the windows with a health check.
Not only have draughts been eliminated, but Mrs Geall’s home feels much quieter and more peaceful. She also no longer needs to be concerned about opening and closing her windows. She told us she had previously worried they might fall out!
