Any responsible homeowner will want to find the best window company when the time comes to have their old windows replaced. But how do you define the “best”?
Permaframe will tell you in this short blog and offer expert advice on identifying quality installers who will provide the highest standard of window fitting, and we should know, as we’re one of them!
Recognising The “Best” Window Companies
Almost every window company proclaims themselves as the best, but you can only truly qualify as such if you have things like a good track record in window replacements and provide an extensive guarantee. Just being the cheapest option isn’t enough.
Wide-ranging product selection matters too and any reputable window installer will fit windows that have been precisely measured, expertly integrated and offer high-performance.
Installation Background, Projects And Showroom
Discern an installer’s acumen by researching previous work and uncover if they have a showroom where you can touch and assess their products.
- Case Studies: Gather insight into the types of window styles, materials and properties the installer works with from published case studies.
- Clarify Installation: Get confirmation as to whether they have in-house experts to manage installations or use any sub-contractors.
Home Visit And Window Survey
To issue an accurate quote, an installer needs to come to your house and carry out a survey, involving an assessment of the existing window openings. There should be no guesswork.
During this process, the height and width of the openings will be taken, and they’ll also inspect the frames, ventilation and brickwork.
Let them know of any window design ideas you have and notify them of specific requirements. It will enable you to judge whether it’s someone you feel you can trust.
Companies that offer excessive discounts or try to dazzle you with exaggerated marketing often aren’t the best option to choose. You want an installer with true credentials, which Permaframe has in abundance.
Highly experienced, with a luxury showroom location in Frome, large team of passionate window specialists and industry-leading 20 year guarantee, the best is on your doorstep at Permaframe. Form your own opinion of us and get the ball rolling with a free quote.
